Team Sweden - private photosTeam Sweden - with Simon Jaktlund new team member Ulrik Larsson Götzmann - almost repeated last years success at Votteskaret today when they came in 2nd in VAKE 2015 - World Championship in long distance kiting. Suprised themselves - they did't know they were second when they arrived! Great birthday present for Ulrik Larsson Götzmann. CONGRATULATIONS!

Simon has been snowkiting for nine years, he runs his own snowkiting school in Sweden "Mr Snokite" and is a KSA Instructor on water. He does an endurance race of some sort every now and then, has been a mountain guide, done a lot of XC and backcountry skiing and winter camping. And of course the two VAKE-trips has been his ultimate kite experiences.

Ulrik, also from Östersund, is a friend of Simon, and they have been kiting a lot together in the mountains during the last years. When he was asked to represent Team Sweden on such a short notice, his answer was to head straight out in the mountains and do a four day kite-tour to prepare. We consider that as a “YES”.

Ulrik has has been kiting since 2001 and been kiting and working at Haugastøl. He is often seen in snow- and water kite spots in his camper.
