Oliver Palmers (1986) and Ronald Rotter (1981) from Austria have a lot of kiting- and competition experience between them. As team HQ Europe in VAKE 2016, they made it to Vadsø. This year they would like to see the finish line, hoping the experience from last year will make a difference.

Oliver has been a snowkiter for 18 years and have been snowkiting all over the world (Alaska/Utah/Chile/France/Rumania/France/Norway...). He has done lots of competitions and races throughout the years (Ragnarok/Snowkitemasters/Snowkitesoldier...).
Oliver loves being outdoors and does backcountry snowkiting, alpine mountain snowkiting and winter hiking and camping. He has his own snowkite school, where he tries to pass on his passion for snowkiting.
Ronald started kiteboarding in 2004 and participated in some competitions on water and snow; 4th place at Austrian Championship 2007 (water), 3rd place at Masters of Woodquarter 2010 (snow). He enjoys to go ski touring in the monutains and is used to winter camping. He's trained through the "Jagdkommando" - the special forces of Austria.
"We have known each other for 12 years and we both have over ten years of kiting experience. We learned a lot during VAKE 2016 and both of us are mentally really focused and strong".
"We met lots of nice people from different countries and really enjoyed the special spirit and professional organisation of this event. Last year we made it to Vadsø and this year we would like to see the finish line".
