Christelle Selen (42) from France, living in Espoo, Finland, started kiting in 2005. Between 2006 and 2012 she participated in WISSA (World Ice and Snow Sailing Association championships) every year except in 2008, when she had a baby. She has never received anything less than a bronze medal and has a gold medal from WISSA Estonia. "Being French and living in Finland, many finns tell me that I have become more Finnish than real Finnish people themselves....", Christelle says. Being outdoors his her addiction.

Raimo Selen from Espoo, Finland, started kiting in 2004. His rankings from several WISSA championships are not less impressive than Christelles’; #3 2010, #2 2011, #3 2012. He also won the Wintersailing open European Championships in Finland in 2012. Raimo is a man of action, as Finnish people are. He is compelled to be outside and outdoors on every single winter day.

Together, Raimo and Christelle have also done Trans-Ongeo Kite Enduro three times and Pallas Kite Enduro last year. Snowkite Angels are among the teams aiming at the World Cup Victory, doing Trans-Onego Kite Enduro in Russia, Pallas Kite Enduro in Finland and Varanger Arctic Kite Enduro in Norway in 2017.

Special skills

"Well, our speciality is probably to enjoy being out of our comfort zone, and at least being together. - No matter the weather, as long as we are together" - Competing as a couple is our strength".

"To ENJOY it fully".
