Noone makes VAKE seem easier than Richard Wernersson (1987) and Simon Jaktlund (1981) from Sweden. They film, sing and kite their way across the Varanger Peninsula, eat cheese, never complain and finish in the top three.

Captain Richard has been kiting since 2005 and just loves it. His sixth VAKE in 2017 - more than a veteran! He has one 1st place, one 3rd place and was in the first mixed team around the track. He's also been to Trans-Onego Kite Enduro in Russia and Ragnrok.
Simon has been snowkiting since forever. He does an endurance race of some sort every now and then, has been a mountain guide, done a lot of XC and backcountry skiing and winter camping. This is Simons fifth VAKE in a row, and he can show for one first, one second and one third place through the years. This year he'll be a veteran!
Team Sweden are looking forward to be together kiting out on the Plateaus of Norway once again.
"Filming, singing and kiting at the same time". Here you can see a little movie from last year.
"Team Sweden has the same goals as always. To survive, try to finish the course, have fun and respect mother nature. Share some good cheese with our loving kitefriends and create more histories to tell our grandkids".
